Appointment and Intake

Would you like to schedule an appointment? Please email me via the contact form or give me a call. I might be working, and you may reach my voicemail. n that case, leave your name and number, and I will call you back.

The first appointment lasts one hour. During the intake session, I’d love to hear your story to understand what you’re dealing with, who you are, and why you’re seeking my help.

Next, I will conduct an assessment.
I can do this in various ways, depending on your specific complaint(s). I will observe how you move and investigate why you move in that way.

After that, we will discuss the outcome of the assessment, and I will present my proposed plan of action. If you decide to move forward, we can begin treatment right away.

Treatment

Depending on what is best for your recovery, I will either treat you on the table or we will engage in targeted movement exercises.

A key condition for movement exercises is that you are able to feel what you're doing. Pain, stiffness, or increased tension can disrupt this sensation. This is often caused by trigger points and tension in the fascia (connective tissue membranes). I treat the fascia using the F.I.T. method and, if necessary, combine this with deep muscle massage techniques.

When your body is ready to move, I will teach you how to engage it in the right way, which is essential for proper recovery. You need to relearn how to feel that you're using the correct muscles at the right time. This eliminates the need for compensation, allowing you to move more naturally, freely, and most importantly, without pain. For this, I incorporate exercises from the Mobilizing Awareness® method.

Once you become aware of using the correct muscles, I will, if necessary, translate this into other exercises that focus more on muscle strength, endurance, and the resilience of the fascia. These exercises mimic actions that may not be going smoothly in your daily life or during sports, helping to make those activities easier afterward.

I believe it’s important for you to understand what happens during treatment, as this leads to better results. I explain a lot during sessions, and questions are always welcome. To support your recovery, I often provide simple exercises for you to do at home. These exercises complement the treatment and help speed up the healing process.

Sometimes, it’s necessary to refer you back to your general practitioner or to another healthcare professional. I have a broad network and can provide targeted referrals.

I find complex cases to be a challenge, such as whiplash, Tietze syndrome, ACNES, hypermobility, pelvic instability, and physical or emotional trauma. Often, more is possible than you might think, and I’m happy to help you discover those possibilities.
